Things to Do in the Palmeraie

The Palmeraie is a palm grove on the northern edge of Marrakech, sold hard as camel rides, quad bikes and buggy circuits — expect a dusty, fenced-in track rather than open desert. Prices are routinely inflated for tourists and the camels work long shifts in the heat, so check an operator's welfare policy before booking rather than after. It's a fine half-day if you want a photo on a camel near the city; for real dunes, look at Agafay or Zagora instead.
