Things to Do in Ouarzazate & Telouet

Ouarzazate is roughly 4 hours from Marrakech over the Tizi n'Tichka pass, and it's built on cinema — Atlas Studios has hosted everything from Gladiator to Game of Thrones, and the sets are open to visit. Taourirt Kasbah in town is the more substantial historical stop, a former Glaoui stronghold with restored rooms you can actually walk through. Telouet, the Glaoui family's real mountain kasbah, is a worthwhile detour off the pass road but is partly ruined and draws a fraction of the visitors.
